Purpose

There is legislation that defines how personal information needs to be managed.

The wholesale energy dispute resolution services (WEMDRA) are provided by Resolve Advisors which collects personal details from all dispute management contacts (known as DMS in electricity and DMC in gas) and the panel and this is stored and handled under the privacy policy.

This collection notice outlines how personal information as it is defined by legislation is handled. It sets out Resolve Advisors’ role in collecting this information and data, who it may be shared with and provides an avenue for queries and questions. 

 

Where is the Information being stored?

WEMDRA collects and holds personal information from DMS contacts, DMC and the panel:

  • within the DMS, DMC our database accessed at wemdra.resolveadvisors.com.au.
  • directly from correspondence by email.
  • by talking to one of our team.

 

How is it used?

Where WEMDRA collects this personal information, it may be used:

  • To provide dispute management and resolution services.
  • To enable timely access to those details in the event we need to contact you.
  • To facilitate the sharing of contact details to enable DMS contacts, DMC and the panel to connect with the market operator AEMO  and the AEMC and AER if required for market purposes..
  • For another purpose, where you have consented to a particular disclosure, if required to do so by Law.

 

Who we may share your personal information with?

Your name and professional role are visible on the WEMDRA website at wemdra.resolveadvisors.com.au.

Your name and contact details on the WEMDRA database are visible to any other DMS /DMC contacts who have login access to the WEMDRA database.

We may also share your personal information with AEMO, AEMC or the AER who contact WEMDRA in order to connect with a representative of any participant.

 

What other information policies does Resolve Advisors have?

WEMDRA may use deidentified information for statistical and reporting purposes. The use will be in accordance with the Resolve Advisors Privacy Policy.
